The word nigger is unacceptable for use in public. Comedians use it, but they use “Fuck” and “Cunt” all the time, those have always been referred to as the “Big ones”, so??? The discussion should not be about celebrities using it in their movies, music, or comedic performances. Nor is the discussion of the use of the word nigger about who uses it in private, it is about the use of the word in a public setting. For example: I am sitting in an open air café with my children. Next to me one young woman calls her friend a nigger. Unacceptable, it doesn’t matter what color they are Whoopi. What matters is that the use of the word nigger in public only shows a lack of intelligence and lack of respect for others. I don’t give a shit if you call your husband a bastard in public, but don’t do it in public. Can I call you a chick, broad, babe (EWW), bitch or piece of ass? Nope Can I call my wife that in private, maybe? But not in front of others. So why don’t you try to drop the biased, bigoted idea that because you are black, you can use the word nigger anywhere in public you want.
